All Of Everything: Todd Oldham Fashion

If you are in the Rhode Island area the All Of Everything by Todd Oldham exhibit is a must see. It’s located at the RISD museum and will be there until September. It is on the third floor. When you arrive, there is one room that displays a few designs and on two of the walls a runway show. The second room has the main display of all the pieces. A majority of the clothing was from his 90s runways shows that he decided to bring back to life. What’s interesting is the pieces from them fit into current fashion trends that are coming back such as sequins and pins. Even the cuts of the garments.

The dress above is one of my favorite pieces because even though it was part of the SS98′ collection, it looks as if it was brand new. The only thing added to this dress is the skinny straps which are very in right now. This is the kind of dress that could be found at Bloomingdales in the RTW section.

The detailing in this piece is killer. It has a Versace vibe to it. Very feminine cut but not too relieving. I want/ need it.

This coat is everything. The cut of it is super in right now and the pops of color are very Williamsburg Brookyln art. The webbed shirt reminds me of plastic chokers worn in the 90s. I could see someone like Rihanna wearing this to an award show .

The Mona Lisa skirt is my absolute favorite piece.

This look is very rich and has volume to it. The shirt is to die for. It screams spring. Don;t even get me started about the shorts. They would look so good with a basic white off the shoulder shirt and lace up gladiator sandals.

If you get the chance, check out this exhibit. I promise you will NOT be dissapointed.
